Who can attend a NEST gathering? Anyone over the age of 18 may apply to come to NEST. All guests must also read and agree to the Rules of Conduct and sign our Waiver Why do I need to be approved to attend? Isn't this just a party? Well, yes and no. Yes. It IS a party. But it's a PRIVATE party. NEST gatherings, like all gatherings are private parties hosted by private individuals. The fact that's it's large and advertised online doesn't change that. Just like you would want to know who is coming into your own home, we want to know who is coming into our space. This will help us to ensure the safest, most comfortable and most enjoyable experience possible for you and all of our guests. How much does NEST cost? NEST's registration fees are as follows: Individuals: Couples & those registering/attending as a couple: Payment options available: Pay with a credit card online through PayPal, or send your check or money order to the address on the mail-in registration form. All payments must be made in full at the time of registration and are refundable due to cancellation on the following schedule: This covers many non-refundable items we place deposits on as well as other items that NEST guests receive. We feel that the price is very reasonable compared with many other 3-day events of this nature, and we continue to keep the benefits high and the costs as low as possible. If you have your heart set on coming but the costs are prohibitive, we have a few slots available for volunteers. Let us know your situation and we'll try to work with you. Never attended a NEST before and nervous about what to expect? If you've never been to a gathering, or simply never to this one, we understand that there may be additional questions and concerns. We'll also be meeting with those newbies who are present before the Saturday afternoon social to ease folks in a bit more gently and give you a little support before the rest of the gang checks in. Arriving before then? We'll have information posted on which rooms our coordinators are in so you can jump right in and begin making new friends. We're always more than happy to introduce you around and make you feel as much at home as the rest of us do. OK, I'm interested. Now what? All those wishing to attended NEST must complete registration form and pay in full by the dates above. Yes, even if you've been with us in the past. This is for two reasons: First, we want to be sure we have all information present and up-to-date. In the past, some guests have used multiple contact names to register. Please be aware that this can be an issue, as it may result in you not being credited properly when you pay, among other things. Second, we need to have the information readily available to us when you sign in. Also, we need to have important information immediately at hand if anything were to happen to you while you're with us, etc. Please be as complete as possible when filling out the application form, listing ALL possible contact information so that we can match things up if you use a different e-mail in separate contacts. You must use your real name and address to register, as we check your drivers license or other official ID against your registration name at check-in. If they don't match, you will be asked to leave. At check-in, you will also sign the waiver(s) for the event and for the kidnapping scenarios, should you choose to participate in those. OK, I think I understand all of that. What's next? The next step is to go to the registration page and apply! The form will not let you submit until all information is filled in and the rules agreed to, so be sure you have everything there. Any incomplete forms will be ignored as we won't have time to chase people down for missing information. If you have previously attended NEST, your application will be approved more quickly than if you are new to us, so please be patient. Once you have been approved, you will be directed to the final steps and payment. Though our site is secure, we understand that not everyone is comfortable filling out forms online.
