Operation Hammond

Operation Hammond is a non-profit organization that lend first aid and other support services to anime, pop-culture, and kink events across the globe. They are a fantastic group of volunteers that NEST has been working with since 2018, and we are so grateful to have their support year after year.

They set up a table near the play space to provide their first-aid support, but they can also serve as a first-contact for other medical emergencies. They are not a replacement for 911, but they do a wonderful job of being that first touchpoint and support if something bad happens.

If you have a simple medical problem–you need a bandage, a gauze wrap, an upset stomach–they will probably have that at their table, just swing by and ask! If you have a more intensive medical problem, let them (and someone from NEST staff) know, and they can give you a lookover and provide some basic guidance.

Although you should be respectful of everyone in the building, be extra respectful to the volunteers who lend us their time and expertise for this very crucial health safety net.
